I am often asked if a reservation is needed at restaurants in Puerto Vallarta. The short answer is no! However, there are some restaurants that you will want to make one. During the low season ( June – Oct ) there are less tourists and a reservation is really not necessary. But in high season ( Nov – May) at a few of the more upscale restaurants you may want to make one. But again, the majority of the restaurants will not require a reservation. You can pretty much dine at any restaurant and the wait times (if any) are usually very short.
Another question we get is: “Can you make a recommendation for a restaurant?” This is a hard question to answer because there are so many good restaurants that it’s almost impossible to say this one or that one because most of them are excellent. Everyone has their favorites and so do we and the best thing to do is simply walk around, check out the menus and be adventuresome. I’m sure you will find your favorite one too !
