Puerto Vallarta has some of the most amazing light shows on rainy days. The lightening out in the bay can often times be spectacular. Locals actually look forward to the rain and often times you will see the citizens of Puerto Vallarta walking in the rain, out in the water in the rain and simply enjoying those rainy days. Everything turns a lush green and the psalm trees seem to come to life when soaking rains bath the city. It also washed down the dust and although water tends to rush down the streets, it is a time of refreshment.
The rains are usually short lived and rarely consume the entire day. It might rain for a hour or so or be overcast for part of the day but rarely does the rain last all day & night. So, if you are on vacation and it starts to rain, don’t let it spoil your day. Instead embrace it and realize that rains are a welcome time and it’s giving everything a nice drink and washing down the dust.
